Keep Cool and Cope!


Thanks for joining us in this challenge of holding ice cubes to raise awareness for youth mental health. Let’s beat the summer heat and use ice cubes as a coping strategy in times of stress. You can reduce your focus on what is stressing you out by creating a new sensation. Holding an ice cube in your hand is a grounding technique allowing you a physical distraction for your mind that will connect you with the present moment. Grounding techniques are a part of mindfulness which is really good to increase your positive mental wellness.

Why: To raise awareness for youth mental health

How to enter the challenge

Take a picture or video of you holding an ice cube in your hand for at least 30 seconds. You must:

  1. Mention you are doing this for youth mental health
  2. Say or use the hashtag #keepcoolandcope
  3. Upload it to your social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter) or submit it here

Tag or nominate 3 friends to keep the challenge going.

What could you win?
