Week 1 – Physical Self-Care

This week’s challenge is all about physical self-care but why is it important?

It’s really hard to be in a good place mentally when you aren’t taking care of your body as well. In fact, all of the other forms of self-care won’t do much to help you reduce your stress if you aren’t eating well, getting enough sleep, and staying active. While exercise might be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about what you can do there are all kinds of different ways we can take care of our bodies.bike

Looking for some inspiration? Here are a few ideas to help get you started:

  • go for a walk
  • follow an online workout video
  • eat a healthy meal
  • try out a new, healthy recipe
  • take a shower
  • get a good night’s sleep
  • dance to your favourite song
  • reduce your screen time
