Week 4 – Intellectual Self-Care

Our brains need taking care of just as much as anything else does. In fact, your brain is the control center for your entire body and plays a critical role in both your mental and physical health. A healthy mind is the foundation for a healthy self overall.

This type of self-care involves how you think and what makes you develop intellectually. It is about expanding your mind and intelligence to be a smarter you. It involves the pursuit of learning and engaging in new things. Intellectual self-care is also about practicing mindfulness and having a positive mindset.

Having some trouble thinking of ways to expand your mind? Try some of these:

  • Watch a TED talk
  • Do a crossword or Sudoku puzzle
  • Listen to a podcast
  • Play a board game
  • Learn a new skill
  • Do some math questions
  • Listen to a podcast
  • Practice mindfulness

Are you reading a book, watching a documentary, or maybe playing escape room games online? Tell us about it here!
